We’re excited to announce Shannon Max will be leading the Sea Lions as the head coach for the 2020 season. Although this will be her first season coaching the Sea Lions, she and her two daughters have been a part of the Sea Lions family for the past 3 years. Coach Max made her coaching debut with the Reynoldsburg Marlins in 2000. During her time at the Marlins the team was very successful, winning numerous championships at both the Varsity & Junior Varsity levels. Around the same time, she became a part of the Greater Columbus Swim School as a lesson instructor. Her hard work quickly elevated her to lead instructor, and her glowing personality makes her favorite among the swim school families. Her dedication to swimmer development soon earned her a spot as the assistant Novice coach with the Greater Columbus Swim Team. Most recently she has recently been promoted to the swim school’s Administrative Assistant, and to the Head Level 1 Coach at GCSTO’s Columbus Academy location. Shannon is excited about this new opportunity, and is looking forward to great season! Go Sea Lions!!
